She is a freshman in Mr. Rain\u2019s 2-D Design class, and this piece was made as an assignment. It consists of watercolor with mixed colors of tissue paper and magazine cutouts. Willow says that she\u2019s somewhat happy with how the piece turned out, but that there are some changes she would make if she could redo it. She liked the idea behind it, but thinks that she \u201ccould have used the watercolor to shade better, or add more definition to the water.\u201d Also, she says that she made the mistake of outlining with pencil before watercoloring, and she found that she couldn\u2019t erase the outlines later. Despite this, Willow says that she had fun making the art and enjoyed experimenting with the different medias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/shhhinsidevoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/image1-768x1024.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-690\" srcset=\"https:\/\/shhhinsidevoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/image1-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/shhhinsidevoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/image1-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/shhhinsidevoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/image1.jpeg 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><figcaption>&#8220;Untitled&#8221; by Beyulah Anderson<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, we have another untitled piece. This painting is a semi mixed media piece created by Beyulah Anderson. She is a student in Mr. Rain\u2019s 2D Design class, but made this painting at home in her free time. \u00a0It began with oil paint, but Beyulah says she didn\u2019t like where it was going, so she \u201cdecided to add to it and change it up a bunch.\u201d This included changing to acrylic paints. About the process, Beyulah noted that this style was less realistic than she is normally used to working on, but that it was \u201ca lot of fun to paint,\u201d and that it enabled her to try out a range of fun colors.
